Army List: Craftworlds 1850 pts Fun with Formations

It's been all quiet on the hobby front for the last few weeks. I've had a few games with my growing Astra Militarum army, and observed a few games involving Eldar on one side or both. Here is an 1850 pts list that I'm thinking about using to really get into the swing of the new Craftworlds book.

Combined Arms Detachment: Eldar Craftworlds
HQ
Autarch with Banshee Mask, Hawk Wings, Shuriken Pistol and Power Spear [105]
Troops
Windriders, 3x Windrider with Shuriken Cannon [81]
Windriders, 3x Windrider with Shuriken Cannon [81]

Windriders, 3x Windrider with Shuriken Cannon [81]
Heavy Support
Falcon Squadron, 3x Falcon with Pulse Laser, Scatter Laser, Shuriken Cannon and Holo-Field [450]
Formation: Aspect Host
Fire Dragons, 4x Fire Dragon, 1x Exarch with Fusion Gun [120]
Fire Dragons, 4x Fire Dragon, 1x Exarch with Fusion Gun [120]
Fire Dragons, 4x Fire Dragon, 1x Exarch with Fusion Gun [120]
Formation: Crimson Death
Crimson Hunter Exarch [160] [Warlord]
Crimson Hunter [140]
Crimson Hunter [140]
1841 pts

The three Dragon squads start the game mounted in the Falcons, which start in Reserve alongside the Crimson Hunters. The Windriders deploy as hidden as possible, and the Autarch can optionally deploy hidden or start Reserved.

Your first turn will be all about survival until your Reserves start arriving on a 2+ in turn two. The Falcons drop in exactly where you need them, drop off their Dragons, and together they nuke up to four separate targets. The Hunters fly in and either sweep the skies or nuke ground targets. Once you have plenty of models in play, the Windriders can start playing more aggressively, but keep in mind that their primary role is scoring.

The Autarch is not the Warlord, and he uses this freedom to bounce around being a nuisance. His assault threat range is 18" + 2D6" rerolled—and he can declare charges without consequence of Overwatch—so use him to gank weak enemy units trying to snatch Objectives.

Overall, this list is not particularly subtle, relying on a devastating alpha strike to cripple your opponent while your Jetbikes zoom around farming VP. Nothing too exciting, but it is an opportunity to play around with the new Formations.

Personally, however, my priority remains on my Astra Militarum, since they offer a tactical challenge missing from the new Eldar—at least until more armies can climb the power ladder to join Necrons and Craftworlds.
